I have listed the worst examples in this article, but unfortunately this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I was vegan in my twenties, but our bodies are NOT built to survive on plant based diet only (just think of all the necessary supplementation, and if you do not supplement properly, your health will go severely to shits, trust me I have seen vegans with severe neurological, arterial and psychological damage).

I respect everybody’s food/lifestyle choices, but I get annoyed when vegans/vegetarians (here on Tumblr and in real life) give me the stink eye for eating/posting meat pics.

I am a huge animal lover and super anti factory farming or any mistreatment of animals in general. I still eat craploads of veggies and fruits, but when it comes to animal based part of my diet - I choose to eat only the cleanest grass fed meats, organic eggs, wild caught fish and organic dairy, trust me, not only it tastes DIVINE it does body good :-)

There is a huge difference (ethically and nutritionally) between eating a cow who has never seen the light of day, has been force fed GMO corn and soy, injected antibiotics and hormones AND a happy cow who has been eating grass and roaming in the fresh air without being subjected to torture!

Do you get upset when you see a lion kill a zebra? Are you aware of a thing called the food chain? Do you know that animals eating animals is natural? Why stop eating meat completely when I can buy it from a local farmer or hunter and know that the animal didn’t suffer prior to it being killed? I know you don’t think anyone should take the life of an animal, but that’s because you’re chosing to be emotional about it. That doesn’t make it wrong. What’s wrong is when an animal suffers it’s entire life, which is why I’m against factory farming. Agriculture kills millions of animals every year, and you don’t seem to give a shit about that, do you? Meat has vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids that we need, and it’s generally a good idea to get your vitamins from food rather than taking supplements only. The amount of supplements vegans need to take proves the diet is not ideal for us.

Stop telling me I don’t need to eat meat. Humans need b12 — which is found predominantly in meat — in order to live. That suggests we should be eating meat, so that’s what I’m going to do, and I’m going to do it ethically.
